About Rabbitt

Rabbitt was born April 3, 2003 .  Until then, we had never heard of a Catahoula.  She was the most beautiful dog I had ever seen.  Her color is Blue Merle.  Owning Rabbit made us curious about the breed, so we began to do research on the Louisiana Catahoula Leopard Dog.  They have a remarkable history.  We fell in love with the Catahoula and it's mysterious legend.   So we became breeders of this "rare" canine.     All because of this one little puppy that became a part of our lives in the year of 2003,  Rabbitt's Catahoula farm began.

On September 22, 2004,  Rabbitt became the victim of a hit and run.  The next day, September 23,  she underwent massive organ surgery.  The operation took 2 hours.  The vet told us she had a 50% chance of survival.  Guess what?....she pulled through!   The vet told us under no circumstances should she get pregnant.  There was no way she could pass puppies.  They said it would kill her.   Well, it happened beyond our control in November 2004.  Only 3 months after the surgery.  Guess what?....on January 16, 2005,  she had 7 beautiful puppies!      Rabbitt is still doing well raising her puppies and getting in all kinds of meaness.  But it's nothing a peanut butter cookie can't handle!  (Rabbitt's favorite)   You should see the tricks she can do for a cookie!   Now, she can even pray!   Catahoula's are one of the  (if not the most) smartest dogs in the world.
